This yearly festival has, however, quickly established itself with big headliners such as Radiohead, Of Monsters And Men, Deftones, Wu Tang Clan, Die Antwoord, the Foo Fighters and the Prodigy to name just a few. The Reykjavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts is subject to the provisions of the Music Schools Act, and receives grants which meet teachers’ salaries, under a service agreement with the City of Reykjavik and other municipalities. Student fees meet other costs. The Academy employs 31 teachers, in 18 full-time-equivalent posts.
